This is an incredible feet considering that Western Mass Parrot Head Club is a small club - but with the help and support of the other New England Club members we were able to pull off an incredible weekend full of fun and wonderful memories while helping out others that are less fortunate than us.

CAN DO SPIRIT: Peter Sargent, left, who lost a leg during the Vietnam War, helps Diane Barras of Maine Handicapped Skiing launch a kayak with Peggy League and her husband and veteran Rocky into Pattee Pond at Camp Caribou in Winslow on Friday. For three days the Veterans/No Boundaries program will provide both retired and active disabled veterans and spouses a chance to enjoy fishing, boating, cycling, wood carving, golf and socializing through the M.H.S. organization. Sargent said the program is excellent and added, “It’s great that for three days you can forget about everything else.”

Veterans No Boundaries
February 7, 2009
The Veterans No Boundaries dinner such a success. From the planning stages; to the decorations; to the food; to Phlamingo Feud; and finally to the clean-up (with some help from the Boy scouts of troop 22-Braintree, MA); every one of you deserve a standing ovation.
But actually; we got something better than a standing ovation...we have the gratitude, thanks; smiles; laughter;...oh yeah; and especially the kisses and hugs from some very appreciative heroes. The veterans truly enjoyed this event. It could not have been such a success without the the help of all of you!!! Thanks again.
From our testimonial line (actually Karen and I stopped by Maine Handicapped skiing this afternoon)...
Judy from MHS stated: "Thanks you again. Everyone had a great time. They have been talking about it all day. Phlamingo Feud was great, it got everyone involved. You guys are going to have a hard time topping it next year!!!"
From Leo and Hank..."thank you so much. the food was great. and Phlamingo Feud was the best!! We had so much fun. We can't wait unil next year."
From Geoff..."Thank You for last night...it was so fun! I can't believe my team won!! I'll be back next year."
From a MHS volunteer..."The food was incredible. the game was a blast. you guys out did yourself.!!"

Club Members gathered at Androscoggin Home Health Care & Hopice House on Wednesday Dec 3rd to present a check for $2050 (Benefit Golf Tournament Proceeds this October in Memory of Lena Bell).
Laurie Winsor, Director of Marketing & Development and Julie Shackley, CEO of the Hospice House gave the phlock a tour of the facilties. The phlock was very impressed by the warmth and peacefullness of the facilty. The detail in the design is amazing - a stained glass door to the chapel incorporates Maine gems, rocks and sea shells a true work of art and dedication to making the Hospice House a very special place.
After touring the facility one knows a lot of careful thought, time and planning went into the design of the House with the patients comfort and their families in mind.
