"Party With A Purpose"
Join a club that’s all about giving!

Are you a life loving, carefree, socially conscious person who enjoys the lifestyle depicted in the music of Jimmy Buffett. Then you are one of those ‘people our parents warned us about’... a Parrot Head! Besides the social aspect of getting together and enjoying the company of others, there is a serious side of Parrot Head-ism. Concerned with
social and environmental mental issues, we come together to address these issues and act upon them to give back to the communities in which we live.

Parrot Head Clubs around the world help their communities by being involved with local charities and environmental concerns. Members have more fun than anyone volunteering, hosting charity events and giving back to their communities.

Parrot Head Club of The Northern Tropics

Our members are life loving, carefree, socially conscious individuals who enjoy the lifestyle depicted in the music of Jimmy Buffett. Besides the social aspect of getting together and enjoying the company of others, there is a serious side of Parrot Head-ism. Concerned with social and environmental issues, they will come together to address these issues and act upon them to give back to the communities in which they live.

Parrot Head Clubs around the world have been helping their communities by being involved with local charities and environmental concerns. The Parrot Heat motto ‘Party With A Purpose" is more than just a motto, Clubs give back by donating time and money to make the world a better place. No one has more fun raising money and lending a helping hand than Parrot Head Club Members.

All this madness started with one club in Atlanta [Founder, Scott Nickerson) and has blossomed into a network of over 200 clubs around the U.S. plus international clubs based in Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Australia.

Here’s your chance to join a Club that’s all about GIVING, giving back to the community, giving our youth opportunities to feel the joy of giving and sharing, giving ourselves the satisfaction of good deeds done

The Parrot Head Club of The Northern Tropics was founded and became a Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHIP) Charter Member in June of 2008. PHIP is a Not-For-Profit Corporation, whose purpose is to assist in community and environ-mental concerns and provide a variety of social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies.

Who are these people called Parrot Heads? They are your neighbors, the fireman, the policeman, and your dentist might be a parrot head or your lawyer. Maybe your boss has a closet full of Hawaiian shirts he breaks out on weekends, or what about the girl in the cubicle next to yours. Parrot Heads are all around you, united by a love of Jimmy Buffett’s music and a desire to give something back, to leave the world a better place than when they found it.

Parrot Head Clubs are not just Jimmy Buffett fan clubs: they are social, charitable and environmental organizations. Many are 501©(3) Non profit organizations. Through their magnificent efforts local Parrot Head Clubs have supported over 500 different charitable and environmental organizations. A list of these can be found on the Parrot Heads In Paradise, Inc. web site www.phip.com.

What is a Parrot Head?

They never fail to ask when we appear in mass,
What makes you wear those crazy clothes and imitate an ass?
The answer isn't simple, but then again it is,
It's really just a frame of mind around Jimmy Buffett’s biz.

It’s sitting in a traffic jam and picturing a beach,
A far off island in the sea that’s just beyond your reach,
A flowered shirt, a crazy hat, a cheeseburger in your hand
A beach chair at an awesome park with a Trop-Rock music band.

By day we may be doctors and lawyers and don a 3-piece suit.
By night the margaritas flow and grass skirts look so cute,
With sailing songs and steel drum beats the stress can melt away,
And if you haven’t tried it, don’t knock it, as they always say.

We celebrate the pirate life, the hula girls and rum,
A bunch of crazy drinkin’ folk we have been called by some.
Dancing barefoot, squeezing limes, it is a tropical circus,
But hold the bashing and keep in mind, we Party with a Purpose.

So welcome to this phlocking - we hope that you’ll be kind.
Beyond the beaks and feathers you'll certainly no doubt find
The greatest bunch of people that take charity to heart,
That welcomes anyone with the urge to play a part.

Fins Up Everybody!
